Christmas in August (Reindeer Frame)

Welcome back to my blog...

Thank god for the rain,as the weather is now starting to affect me, it's so hot with my menopause, sitting in it is totally out of the question...

As I'm so hot inside with the flushing  I'm either by the fan in my studio or in the shower, my poor PUGS have a pool but one would lay in it like a human if I let her (Misty) and the other lay (Alfie) in the pool with the Gazebo over him...

Today I am sharing another of my DT projects this month, I called it Christmas in August, I have shared something similar in the Christmas show we had on the 8th July, it's just a different design totally and different paper pad collection.

The completed Picture Below

Products used
one sheet from 12 x 12 collection heartfelt Creations Merry & Bright
MDF kit designed and supplied by Daisys
MDF glue by Daisys
Die cuts from the collection added along with play snow inside the scene, amazing stuff just add water and snow appears... I bought mine from eBay...
I covered the whole project including all the die cuts in Mod Podge

Happy Crafting...
I hope even thou a small project, that you got some inspiration.

Under The Sea 31st Aug 2018

Welcome back to my blog, happy August to you all...

Well, July has been a fast month with my birthday and a year ago my dad past, and wedding anniversary all at once, and a busy time for daisys jewels and crafts as they moved premises can you imagine that with that heavy mdf cutting machines on the top floor... Ouch to the back. I'm reading to play again...

Today I'm sharing my latest DT project the 3D Book Box that I have titled Under The Sea... I must apologise for the pictures as my little studio is broken at present and used a sheet of calico...

Completed Pictures Below...

Above in the picture, I have added a sign entitle Under The Sea, where I used Dove craft pigment ink, followed with Nice Ice Blue WOW embossing powder... The letters were stamped using Alphabets by Inkadinado.com

I used elastic bands to hold together until Adhered...
Paints I used on the project are Pebeo No 360 and 358 and Americana Turquoise

One sheet of Acetate for the front of the box to keep the water beads in...

Ensure that you use a seal to the inside of the front of the box, I used Mod Podge

Using Daisys strong MDF glue as you can see seal the edges quite thick as this will be filled with water beads... Again using bands to help keep together...

Water beads are available on the Hochanda website most time...

Under The Sea Embellishments from  Daisys...

Daisys MDF Kit
Daisys MDF Glue to adhere together...

I  hope this has given you some inspiration in MDF...

Happy Crafting...

Rusted Clock Face

Welcome back to my blog

Today I am sharing my latest DT project for Daisy's Jewels and Crafts...

We are also very proud to be using our new DT Badge that I designed for the Daisy Team

Completed picture below

There is no glue used on this product its a simple clock face with any mechanism

Other products used to get this effect:

Pentarat rust collection and Dali Art stamp.
Stencil from Daisy's COGS
Pebeo Texture Paste
Dali Art Stamp: Steampunk Lady
Black Archival Ink
Clear Embossing Powder
Heat Gun
White Gesso (prima)
Bottle cap
Glue Gun
Two metal Keys
A sheet of gold mirror card for behind the numbers.
Three small rice paper pieces (clock face) from Stamperia

After adding the prima to the clock face, use the black ink to stamp the steampunk lady on any side of the clock and add the clear embossing powder.

Using the pentart collection start by building up the layers after the texture paste is completely dry, starting with the Brown, followed by the red rust and then the mustard colour this will give you a great rust look effect on any project.  Add the Bottle cap to the centre of the clock face, allow drying then add a small circle of mdf for the keys to sit in between them, using the glue gun add the keys to the middle in between the bottle cap ...

I hope this has given you all some crafty inspiration, and look forward to the next time...
